Portuguese Carnival

The Carnival is a period of festivities governed by lunar years of Christian in the Middle Ages. The period of Carnival was marked by ‘goodbye to meat’ or ‘meat worth’ giving rise to the term ‘carnival’.
During the carnival there was a high concentration of popular celebrations. Each city to play their way, according to their customs.
The modern carnival, parades and costumes made of, is the product of Victorian society of the nineteenth century.

We love the Carnival Torres Vedras. It is genuine, and is pioneering the rare person who is not involved in this tide of Culture, the most delicate, sung and celebrated throughout the city and already attracts others. But Carnival of dances full of poetry and dance, theater and much popular music.
Carnival de Torres Vedras, maintaining fidelity to the traditions of Carnival Portuguese, so if calling, the most Portuguese of Portugal, is characterized by the spontaneous participation of citizens, even in organized fashion. It is desired for the animation of the parade and so we see the most varied "foliões" in the spaces between the cars, making the festival, displaying their masks and facetiae, preaching and its parts as simply curious.

Hello!My name is Rúben de Brito and I have 17 years; I live in Almada, Portugal. Speaking of my Christmas, it was spectacular: as the climate here is Mediterranean, the time on Christmas Day was tempered - was a little cloudy and cold. I received many gifts, the necessary ones to be happy (laughs).What I like most are the chocolates at Christmas, there are several chocolate, which is quite good, and I also like the cakes and sweets. Here in my city, the streets are decorated and people go, usually a huge hassle: the rush to present and sell in that sweet pastries. Finally, Christmas is a magical season, especially when snow - the classic of Christmas. I hope your Christmas was good, at least have snow, which in some ways is even good, what is worse is the cold.

Hello colleagues! In this Christmas, was a bit cold, but nothing that the warmth of home for Christmas did not help. The Christmas is day 25 of December here, in your country doesn´t know in that day is.

I and my family in the Christmas like to make “salame of chocolate”, mousse of chocolate, cake of cookie, pudding, and felhoses.

In the meals it had very because to choose we eat Codfish a Brás, meat of cow with potatoes you fry or then Lamb.
I had many you arrest, but nothing it gave more joy to me of what to be with my family.
The family of Filipa in the Christmas makes a sweet called “rabanadas” and “aletria”.

In the meals it ate Codfish cooked with potatoes and many vegetables, also had trunk of chocolate, cake-king, orange pie, among others.

It received some presents, but she was for being with the family.
